Chocolate and prunes – this recipe is one for the books. You can make 12 drops with this recipe. It’s an amazing combination of flavors.
½ cup of prunes
¼ cup of dates
3 spoons of almond butter
1 spoon maple syrup
3 spoons unsweetened cocoa
½ cup of unsweetened grinded coconut
1. First put the prunes and dates in a blender and mix them.
2. Add the rest of the ingredients except the coconut. Blend them all together until the mixture becomes homogenous.
3. From the blend make 12 drops, around 2.5cm in size. Roll them in the grinded coconut. Put them in a freezer for half an hour before serving.
Tips for preparation: If you don’t have a blender you can prepare the chocolate drops by hand, but obviously it will take longer than 15 min. Chop up the dates and prunes in quarters and add 1 spoon of cocoa and mix it all together. The compound needs to be added in a bowl with the rest of the ingredients.
Mush everything well until it becomes homogenous just as if you had a blender. The mixture may be chunky but you might find them delightful and quite pleasant. At the end roll them in the grinded coconut and put them in the freezer.
