Donald Trump’s election gave many Americans a dose of much-needed optimism, but don’t tell that to Michelle Obama, who said she knows now what it’s like not to have hope.
People everywhere have weighed in on the First Lady’s comments, and Trump even took the high road, claiming she was only talking about the past. Former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee wasn’t as kind. “If you lose, you don’t go out and blame everybody in sight. You go out and suck it up and you accept it.”
“You don’t have to take a million-dollar poll and check with a thousand people,” Huckabee added. “I thought when I came up (to Washington) yesterday that I needed to take shots to make sure I don’t get infected with whatever it is gets into people when they are completely out of touch with reality.”
However, the crowning statement on Mike’s comments was this: “They really need to get out more.”
Agreed, Mike. They need to talk to some people who are not in their little bubble, and they might quickly come to realize just why it was that Donald Trump was elected.
Believe me, there is still hope for Obama. No one – not even him – is a lost cause. If even Jimmy Carter can become an exemplary ex-president, then even Obama can do it. It will have to start with a word that doesn’t come easily for the Obamas, however, and that word is humility.
They are going to have to humble themselves and go out and talk to people. Once they do that, they can realize that Americans have been bereft of hope for many years under his failed leadership. Of course, it’s a hard pill to swallow, so I’m not holding my breath.
But the 63 million souls who supported President-Elect Trump know they have hope. They see it articulated in a man who is going to do whatever it takes to turn this country around.
“I’m telling you, we have tremendous hope,” Trump said at a speaking engagement in Mobile, Alabama. “We have tremendous promise and tremendous potential. We are going to be so successful as a country again. We are going to be amazing.”
Folks, Donald Trump isn’t just desiring to “Make America Great Again” as a slogan to get votes. He really does believe he will be able to accomplish it.
I realize it is easy to fall into the liberal brainwashing trap. It’s easy to think it’s doomsday when they overreact to every appointment this man makes, but if Donald Trump is crazy, he is crazy like a fox. Obama was just crazily unqualified.
